Representatives of the Association of Milk Producers' directorate, Hanna Lavreniuk and Olena Zhupinas, participated in a meeting with representatives of dairy industry associations chaired by Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, Denys Bashlyk. The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of EU legislative requirements within the framework of negotiation chapter 11, "Agriculture and Rural Development," with an emphasis on the dairy industry, as well as preparations for the official EU screening in the agricultural sector, which will take place on September 8–10, 2025.
"Screening is not just a formality. It is the beginning of real negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU and a roadmap for the next steps. It is important to hear the voice of farmers, especially from the dairy sector," emphasized Denys Bashlyk.
The AMP took an active part in the meeting, advocating for the interests of Ukrainian milk producers on their path to European integration, so that legislative adaptation is effective and the industry is competitive in the European market.
"European integration is not just about laws; it's about opportunities. With a common voice, we will be able to defend the interests of the industry, and the readiness to play by European rules will ensure it a worthy place on the European dairy production map," stressed AMP General Director Hanna Lavreniuk.
The Ministry noted that the official screening for Ukraine's accession to the EU under negotiation chapter 11, "Agriculture and Rural Development," will take place on September 8-10, 2025.
