DIAM and Minagro answered key questions of agricultural producers during the webinar

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine (Minagro) and the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning (DIAM) held a joint webinar for agricultural producers, during which they answered key questions about the algorithm of work for agricultural enterprises, including those who are currently applying for commissioning and preparing to apply for state support programs.

Industrial milk production decreased by 1.4%. The seasonal factor will increase the shortage of raw milk material on the market.

According to the results of eight months, 6 million 35.2 thousand tons of milk of all grades were produced in Ukraine, which is 6.2% less than in the corresponding period last year. This is due to the rapid decline in households and insufficient supply from the industrial sector.

The number of industrial cows is increasing

As of September 1, there are 1,655.2 thousand cows in Ukraine, which is 5.9% less than in 2020. Of these, 425.2 thousand cows were housing in the industrial sector, and 1 million 230 thousand heads - in households.

STOV "Promin", members of the Association of Milk Producers, are completing the construction of a unique cow house for Ukraine with the simultaneous housing of 2,500 cows with cross-ventilation. The commissioning of the complex is scheduled for October 2021.

The shortage of raw milk continues to push prices

Another wave of rising milk prices took place on the market. The weighted average price of three     grades increased by 30 kopecks. It is noteworthy that as a result of a persistent shortage of raw milk, which has a permanent tendency to increase, this time the lower grades of milk became more expensive. As a result, the price difference between the varieties has decreased significantly, but this phenomenon is temporary. Usually this effect is seen during the period of active growth, and its degree depends on the market deficit.
