Rising prices for dairy products are projected further

Another increase in prices of almost all categories of dairy products showed the latest monitoring in the largest retail chains - an average of 6.5% for 8 months of 2021.

This is due to three factors:

  1. The jump in world prices for cereals and legumes - components of rations for cows - and rising costs of raw milk,
  2. Domestic shortage of raw milk,
  3. Seasonal growth in demand and prices of raw milk from the second half of summer

The increase in the prices of final products is forecasted in the future, mostly for rennet cheeses, sour milk cheese, sour cream. One of the additional factors will be the expected increase in energy tariffs.
