Milk quality for three quarters of 2021

According to the results of three quarters of the current year, the processing enterprises received 2 million 427.4 thousand tons of milk, which is 10.9% less than in the same period last year, - said the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers Yana Linetska.

In general:

  • 2 million 305.7 thousand tons (-9.3%) were purchased,
  • on tolling basis received 108 thousand tons (-34.5%),
  • own production - 12,8 thousand tons (-15.1%).

The structure of purchased milk was distributed as follows: 80.5% from industrial farms and 19.5% from households.

The dynamics of milk receiving from the industrial sector is deteriorating. Compared to the same period last year, deliveries decreased by 4.7% and amounted to 1 million 856.8 thousand tons. This is due to the overall reduction in milk production.

At the same time, the loss of milk receiving from households is even greater - 448.9 thousand tons, ie -24.4% compared to the same period in 2020.

At the same time, the graph shows that agricultural enterprises transfer almost 90% of all milk produced for processing. Instead, households, according to official statistics, are only about 10%.

"Obviously, the milk has not disappeared, and even more began to be sold in unregulated markets or under the "grey" schemes to be processed as industrial," - says AMР analyst Yana Linetska.
