The amount of agricultural funding for 2021 will be increased - Danуlo Hetmantsev

On November 27, Danylo Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance and Customs Policy, and Artem Nagaіevskyі, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Land Relations of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, visited the headquarters of the Association of Milk Producers (AMР).

During the meeting with AVM Vice President Наnna Lavrenіuk, the politicians discussed the current situation in the dairy sector and the reasons why Ukraine has established itself as a net importer of dairy products. In particular, experts discussed the level of state support for agriculture, first of all - the dairy industry.  As the Association of Milk Producers pointed out earlier, UAH 4.5 billion is not enough to support the agricultural sector (Dairy Associations criticized the 2021 state budget following a press conference on November 11).

Danуlo Hetmantsev noted that by the second reading in the draft law on the budget, the amount of funding for the agricultural sector for 2021 will definitely be increased, although the state budget is significantly limited.
