The dairy industry continues to run short of raw materials

During the first quarter of 2020, processing enterprises received 847.2 thousand tons of milk, which is 3.5% less (30.9 thousand tons) than in the corresponding period last year. The decline in revenues came from the domestic sector, while commercial dairy farms increased supplies.

The growth of the share of quality milk is one of the indicators that has been maintaining stability for ten years. Despite the reduction in production, from year to year the processing enterprises receive more and more raw milk of the "extra" grade - both in relative and actual values.
