During the XVII International Dairy Congress, held on October 17-18, the Association of Milk Producers (AMP) announced the results of the national ranking "Dairy Records of Ukraine–2025" in three nominations: TOP-20 most productive dairy farms, TOP-5 cows with record yields and longevity, and the cow winners of the special nomination – "Hope of the Dairy Industry."
The winners of the nomination "Highest Lifetime Productivity" were five cows that demonstrated not only record milk yields but also long-term productivity and consistently high results over many lactations.
This year, the ranking includes cows that are not first-time entries into the top. For instance, #1 in the ranking, cow Variazhka from "AF "Pischanska" LLC (Kharkiv region), has been working in the herd for 11 lactations and won the "Highest Lifetime Productivity" nomination for the second time; and cow Viza from "Promin" LLC (Mykolaiv region) also took the #4 spot in the TOP-5 record-breaking cows last year.
Special attention is due to young cows that have not yet made it into the TOP-5 based on 2024 results but have demonstrated outstanding results in the "average milk per lactation, kg" metric. These are young cows in their 3rd–5th lactation that have every chance of becoming future record-holders, provided they maintain successful productivity. That is why the Expert Council of the competition decided to honor them with a special award — "Hope of the Industry."
Meet the true stars of Ukrainian dairy farms — cows whose names have already entered the history of the domestic dairy sector. Their results are proof of the high professionalism of the winning farms' teams, their daily care for animal comfort and health, and confirmation of the reliability of the chosen genetics and the effectiveness of management.
