Raw Milk Sample Logistics: Raw Milk Control Program in Ukraine

One of the important issues in the implementation of the Raw Milk Control Program in Ukraine (RMCP) is the logistics of raw milk samples from the facilities of market operators to authorized laboratories.

According to the legislation of Ukraine:

  • sampling of raw milk at the place of its primary production and/or storage is carried out by an authorized person,
  • testing of samples is carried out in an authorized laboratory at the expense of the market operator,
  • transportation of samples to an authorized laboratory can be carried out either by the market operator themselves or by the authorized person who took the samples.

Raw milk samples must be delivered to the laboratory at a temperature of +0…+4°C no later than 24 hours from the moment of sampling.

In the infographic, you will find logistics schemes and relevant options for the formation of the cost of services for sampling and/or transportation of samples.
