Antibiotics Under New Rules: First Trainings Held in Lviv

On April 22–23, practical training sessions for producers were held in Lviv, with separate tracks for cattle and pig farming. The focus was on operating under new conditions: prescription-based use of antibiotics, the role of the licensed veterinarian, record-keeping, and traceability.

Participants worked through real-life cases: from diagnostics to selecting treatment protocols and managing medication use on the farm. The emphasis was placed on transitioning to a systemic approach and prevention.

The trainings were held with the participation of the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine (EpiC project) and the involvement of experts from the Consultancy Center of the Association of Milk Producers: Valeriy Lototskyi and Mykola Bazavluk.
