Resilience. Hryhoriy Tkachenko Receives the "Light of Justice" Award

We sincerely congratulate Hryhoriy Mykhailovych Tkachenko, head of the Naporivske farm, on receiving the "Light of Justice" ("Svitlo Spravedlyvosti") award from the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU). This award recognizes his moral, spiritual, and ethical leadership, resilience, and steadfastness in the most challenging times.

Naporivske Farm, a member of the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine (AMP), is the same resilient dairy farm located in the village of Lukashivka in the Chernihiv region, which endured a horrific month of occupation in March 2022. Due to the atrocities of the occupiers, the farm lost half of its herd and a significant portion of its equipment and production facilities, causing damages exceeding $700,000. The farm's story has touched the entire world.

Despite the destruction and almost no financial support, Hryhoriy Tkachenko preserved the farm and continues to work on its restoration. Moreover, a year ago, the long-held dream of the head of Naporivske Farm came true: he started a new venture and, together with technologist Inna Chernysh from Chernihiv, launched his own cheese production "CHEESE PLACE."

Hryhoriy Tkachenko has ambitious plans: to develop further the cheese production and create his own meat processing facility, as he believes that villages with at least basic processing facilities (flour, cereals, cheese, meat) can support the survival of their community.

We admire the resilience of Hryhoriy Mykhailovych and his team and wish them continued success in restoring and developing the farm! Thank you for your example of resilience and leadership!
