AMР - in the author's team of the course "Agrosfera"

The Association of Milk Producers - in the author's team of the course "Agrosfera" - an experimental course for high school students, which aims to change the stereotypes of young people about modern agribusiness, open career opportunities and encourage graduates to connect the future with agriculture.

The course "Agrosfera" is a methodology developed according to the American model. It is the result of a collaboration between the Association of Milk Producers, the Ukrainian Agrarian Council, the Ukrainian Agrarian Lyceum, the USAID Agricultural and Rural Development Program - AGRO and the SvitOsvit and Future Farmers of Ukraine educational projects.

«"Agrosfera" is an extremely important initiative. We already have a positive experience of conducting pilot classes on the course for students of 10th and 11th grades in 2020-21. For young people it is a real discovery that agriculture is about digitalization, smart technologies, state-of-the-art technology, progressive companies, laboratories, research and incredible opportunities for growth. Agro is about the future», - says AMР Director General Hanna Lavreniuk.

«There are two big problems in Ukraine: the outflow of young people abroad and the urgent need for professional staff. Today, I am speaking on behalf of thousands of farmers who are members of our organization: there is a staff shortage in the sector. Therefore, our task is to convince young people to go to agriculture. And as soon as the young intellect enters the industry, in a while it will take it to a whole new level and we will cease to be a country-exporter of raw materials», - says the president of the Association of Milk Producers Andriі Dykun.

"Agrosfera" aims to change the stereotypes of young people about modern agrarian business, open career opportunities and encourage graduates to connect the future with agriculture.

Next year the course will start in the experimental classes of high school. The curriculum is ready, textbooks have been developed, guidelines for teachers have been developed. Twice a week, students will be convinced that agriculture is cool and trendy.
