Alternative forage crops - International Dairy Congress 2021

Coarse fodder procurement has become a challenge in 2020:

  • dairy farms in many regions have not been able to procure sufficient сoarse fodder.
  • in the south and east harvested only 40-50% of demand
  • the energy value of silos harvested in such conditions is not pleasing
  • rising prices for grain and protein ingredients have rapidly increased the cost of raw milk production.
