STOV "Promin", members of the Association of Milk Producers, are completing the construction of a unique cow house for Ukraine with the simultaneous housing of 2,500 cows with cross-ventilation. The commissioning of the complex is scheduled for October 2021.
The construction of an industrial cow house is underway in the village Voievodske Nikolaev area. In just 4 months, more than 50,000 cubic meters of earthworks were carried out here. 1,000 tons of metal structures and more than 37,000 square meters are fixed on 559 reinforced concrete foundations. roof. All structures and metal profiles are exclusively of domestic production. The work is performed by the local construction team of STOV "Promin" for a period of 1 year.
Cross-ventilation will provide cooling and comfort of cows in any weather conditions. This technology is developed and widely used in the United States. It is safe and the most technological at present, ideal for the conditions of the south of Ukraine and allows to reach the maximum productivity of animals.
This will be the first dairy farm in Europe for 2,500 cows with a closed technological cycle under one roof with an expected daily weight of extra milk of 84,000 kg.
Today, almost 2,000 dairy herds are housing at STOV "Promin". The dairy complex has a rotary milking parlor for 80 cubicle .There are about a dozen such parlors all over Europe. And in the rating of "TOP-3 most productive cows of Ukraine" the second and third place is occupied by two cows of STOV "Promin" - Zhaketka and Boeva: 9 lactations, 99.6 tons of milk and 7 lactations, 95.5 tons of milk, respectively.
