The Committee Verhovna Rada of Ukraine recommended the Parliament to amend the final provisions to the Law "On safety and hygiene in feed"

July 15 held a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on agrarian and land policy, which the Committee recommended that the Parliament adopt as a basis and in entirety the draft Law On amendments to final provisions of the Law "On safety and hygiene of feed" for the purpose of stabilization of market of feed (reg. No. 3672 from 17.06.2020), reported on the website MILKUA.INFO

The information in the network Facebook has shared the Sergii Glushchenko, Deputy Minister of economic development, trade and agriculture.

This draft Law, which will allow on a temporary basis to import into Ukraine of feed that contain additives that are registered in the European Union.

Thus, the draft Law will allow to unblock the situation due to the fact that Ukraine has not yet passed from the registration feed (which existed prior to the beginning of this year) to the registration of feed additives (as is done in the European Union)

"The Committee's decision is not ideal. But if the choice is between the threat of shortages of feed in the Ukraine market (and consequently a rise in their prices, a loss of revenue of Ukrainian agrarian enterprises), and the decision to allow on a temporary basis to import the feed which contain additives permitted for use in EU, personally I choose the second", — is spoken in the message of Sergii Glushchenko.

He added that he believes the Committee's position balanced and pragmatic, since we are talking about the interests of the Ukrainian agrarian business. Also expressed the hope that Parliament understands and is aware of the importance of the adoption of the draft Law in the coming days.
