AMP has published the TOP-15 most productive farms

Association of Milk Producers has compiled a productivity rating among the member farms. It includes the TOP-15 farms with an annual yield of more than 10,000 kilograms per cow.

"We are pleased to state that from year to year productivity in the member farms of the Association of Milk Producers is growing. Thus, in 2018 the average productivity per cow was 8500 kg per year, and in 2019 - 8750 kg per year. At the same time, there are farms in which the annual productivity actually reaches 13,000 kg / head. It is worth admitting that the average productivity of industrial dairy farms in Ukraine is 6,206 kg, ”said AMP Vice President Hanna Lavreniuk.

According to her, domestic dairy farms still have reserves to increase productivity, but without competent state support and agricultural policy regarding the development of dairy farming, most farms are now thinking about suspending investment in technologies.

By the way, this year the Analytical Department of AMP updated the "Dairy Map of Ukraine". This is an analytical and infographic work of the Association of Milk Producers, created with the assistance of USAID. Its main goal is to show, that despite the crisis in the dairy industry, in Ukraine there is quality milk and its volume is growing every year.
